Greetings from 1st Byte, where we’ve had the busiest Spring on record and are now looking forward to seeing the results of some really exciting developments in the world of digital printing.

It’s hard to believe but it’s now 10 years since we first set out on a mission to raise the quality and profile of digital mediums within the print industry. And we’re celebrating our birthday in a number of ways...

Firstly, we’ve treated ourselves to 2 new Indigo 5000 digital presses, meaning we can turn your order round even faster. Read more about these beasts and what they can offer you below!

Secondly, having redesigned the print studio to accommodate it, we are proud to announce the acquisition of the latest thing in large format printing, the HP 5500. With this machine we are able to offer you posters up to 60” across by almost any length. So if we’ve ever had to turn away your request for A1 and A0 posters, please let us quote again! See overleaf for our new 75p A2 poster deal too!

The next treat we have for you (and our in-house finishing team) is a brand new guillotine. This one weighs in at 4 tonnes and had to be craned in via a first floor window... luckily 1st House in Baker’s Yard is a sturdy old building made to cope with this kind of equipment!

And you may have noticed that one member of our team is showing his age extremely well; our pet Byte is now 10 years old and, dare we say it, looking better than ever. He’s had a virtual makeover, as has our new, better looking and easier-to-use website. Check out the improvements, including a chance to win.
